Robert has served as Envoy for Sustainable Buildings at the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning since 2021, where he is responsible for the Dutch position in international negotiations on the sustainability and decarbonisation of the built environment. Previously, he managed the Spatial Policy department, and before that, he worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, primarily in the fields of sustainable development and green growth.
