Sara coordinates the European office of the Covenant of Mayors – an initiative of the European Commission that has been mobilising over 11,000 local authorities to take ambitious climate and energy measures for over 16 years. She is responsible for the overall management of the initiative, liaison with the EU Institutions and related initiatives, national, regional and local actors. She has been working for Energy Cities - a European network of several hundred local authority representatives - since 2018, first as a communication and advocacy officer, then as expert for the topic of locally owned renewables and coordinator of the communication team.
